How to place my floor plan onto the workspace tabl

Hello Arkio Community

My name is Omar Rafael Pérez Gallardo, and I’m very new here — I’ve been exploring the platform for about a week now. I just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank the developers and the entire community for creating such an impressive tool. My first experience using Arkio was truly inspiring, and it opened up a whole new way of visualizing and creating architecture.

I’m currently working on a very important architectural project, and I’ve attached some of my prototype floor plans. I’m still learning, but I’m eager to improve every day.

I’d really appreciate it if someone could guide me on how to place my floor plan onto the workspace table as a template, so I can start building on top of it.

I’m genuinely grateful to be part of this amazing space where creativity meets innovation.

Thank you so much for allowing me to experiment, learn, and contribute.

I look forward to growing alongside this inspiring community.

With respect and appreciation,

Omar Rafael Pérez Gallardo

Hi @Digital_Dr_Qro

Welcome to our forums, it’s great to hear you are enjoying Arkio so far!

Loading reference images to draw 3D designs on in Arkio can best be done by loading the images to your device using the Arkio Cloud and then placing the images in the Arkio scene.

In linked support pages, you can also learn more about working with imported images and other Arkio tools.

When working with floorplans, it’s a good practice to place the image and model the individual floors of your design on a solid Arkio slab. That way, you can more easily pick up the entire floor to combine design elements later. You can also easily make copies of your in-progress geometry this way to better control Arkio’s flexible geometry and components and make variations on your design.

I made an an new guide with some best practice tips here in case you would like to learn more.

We’re curious to hear how things go and learn more about your use case, so please let us know if you need any further tips or support!
