The landscape sample through architecture

In line with my research on hypercontextualization methods, this architectural excerpt demonstrates how framing can influence the perception of a place. The inability to see the horizon and distinguish the boundaries of the elements composing the landscape allows the focus to be on the essence of these elements. This creates a striking atmosphere that questions the relationship between the ground and the sky, which blends with the colors of the lake and highlights the ambiguity created by these frames. Arkio enables the precise redrawing of these boundaries on-site through passthrough in a very refined manner.

I am always amazed at how convincing a virtual element in augmented reality can be. The brain adapts and reacts to spatial modifications. This type of project, designed on-site, therefore stems from a purely spatial reflection at a real scale.

Gael, excellent work! I would like to hear your thoughts on how to keep the model’s location properly georeferenced as you move between Arkio and other modeling software. We’re still using a manual process to align our models in the field that is not precise. I’m wondering if you have any tips or tricks that you could share. Many thanks!
