While I am waiting to get my VR Gear, can I get started building in Arkio? and do I need to build in some other program, and then only modify in Arkio, or can i build directly - im working by myself - -im a hobbyist architectural designer and visualizer, and I dont want to sink a whole bunch of money into it if I dont have to
Hi Tim, you can use Arkio without a VR headset on PC, Mac, iOS and Android but it will be a different experience vs using your hands/controllers to interact with your model using a VR headset.
The flat version of Arkio has most of the tools of the VR version. The modeling engine still works as working with physical building blocks. You can learn more about this on our support pages
Since we have integrations with existing tools like Sketchup, Revit, Rhino and Unity you can also use those 3D tools instead and import/update these files to Arkio to compile a scene to work on with other devices in mixed reality.
